We made peace’: Mampintsha’s sister on Babes Wodumo

Mampintsha’s sister, Pinky opened up about losing her brother and mother and gave an update on her relationship with Babes Wodumo.South African Kwaito star Mampintsha—real name Mandla Maphumulo died on 24 December 2022 after suffering a fatal stroke at Durdoc Hospital. Three weeks after his passing, his mom Zamanguni Gumede also passed away. Mampintsha’s sister Pinky Gumede recently sat down with ZiMoja and shared how life has been since the passing of her brother and mother and also gave an update on her relationship with her sister-in-law Gqom Queen, Babes Wodumo.


 

 

 

 

Mampintsha’s sister Pinky Gumede has since spoken out on her life after the passing of her mother and brother, and relationship with his wife Babes Wodumo–real name Bongekile Simelane according to a report by ZiMoja. She explained that her brother and mother were just like two peas in a pod. Since they passed away, Pinky misses her brother’s humour and her mother’s undeniable love and support.

It’s no secret that when Mampintsha and Zamanguni were still alive, Pinky and her mother were not close to the Kwaito star’s wife. In fact, their relationship was at odds all the way through until Mampintsha’s funeral when all was forgiven in front of the world. However, after the funeral, Babes Wodumo found herself on the other side of the fence again with her in-laws when she returned to performing soon after her husband’s death.

But now, Pinky has shared that she and the Wololo hitmaker have put everything to bed and are back in a good space again.

“We are all just healing in our spaces, but we have made peace. She will always be my sister-in-law. I am just working on healing and moving on from the two deaths. They came at a time when I didn’t expect them at all ” she said to Zimoja.On 18 July, Babes Wodumo mourned her late husband on his first birthday. Just two days before, she expressed that she was finding it difficult to pen her son, Sponge a birthday message as it was a bittersweet moment to wish him a happy birthday without Mampintsha being around to celebrate it with.

“Kuthathe sikhathi [It took time] to write something for you cause I’m in mixed emotions namhlanje [today]. It’s your birthday today a part of me misses ubaba wakho [your dad] because I know for sure this day was his favourite day… On this day, both our lives changed forever.

Rumour mill has it that she was allegedly married to French engineer Cedric Thivillon. The two reportedly tied the knot in 2008. In the wake of their union, the two had trouble in paradise.

It’s been a good run’: Jub Jub’s age revealed on birthday

South African singer-turned-TV presenter Jub Jub—real name Molemo Katleho Maarohanye turned 43 on 29 June and received an abundance of sweet messages from his fans and social media followers on Instagram after posting about his special day.


 

 

Jub Jub was thrilled to turn one year older. The Uyajola 9/9 TV presenter has reached 43 and reflected on his life and said that he’s had quite the journey. On his feed, Jub Jub said,

“Dam it’s been a good run man, what an incredible and amazing journey this has been. Thank you all JubNation for your wishes I ❤️ ya’ll, had to be in my birthday suit 🙏🏽”From making legendary hits like Ndikhokhele to spending several years in jail and then easily returning to the entertainment industry again, Jub Jub has proved that if something is meant to be, then it will be. His career took a turn in 2010 after he crashed into a group of school children after illegally drag racing in his Mini Cooper.

Four boys including Prince Mohube, Mlungisi Cwayi, Andile Mthombeni, and Phomello Masemola were killed in the crash, and two other boys, Frank Mlambo and Fumani Mushwana were left permanently brain-damaged, EWN reported. He was sentenced to 20 years which was reported to have been reduced to 10. He was released on parole in 2017.

South African musician Makhadzi shocked fans after her age was revealed on her birthday.

Today is a big day for Makhadzi, and most of her fans celebrate with her worldwide.Despite celebrating with her, some of her fans are shocked to know that Makhadzi turned 27 today, 30 June 2023.

Generations’ actress Rosie Motene: Where is she now?

Legendary actress Rosie Motene, who is known for playing the character of a journalist Tshego Motene in SABC1 soapie Generations hasn’t appeared on South African TV for a few years now, where is she now?


 

The veteran actress Rosie Motene, who starred in Generations from 2000 to 2004 as Tshego Motene revealed to TshisaLIVE in August 2017 that she left the limelight to focus on finding and developing African talent.

Motene, who is the founder of Waka Agency also told the publication that she began the agency to close a gap she identified when she was acting. The company represents actors, artists, media personalities and emcees.

She also revealed that she’d been living in Uganda in 2016 and represents talent from across the African continent and her acting had to take a back seat.

The 48-year-old actress said during her interview that she belongs to the continent and there’s work to be done.

TVSA reports that the actress has also starred in Zabalaza seasons two and three as Victoria Ndou, Heartlines season one as Refilwe, Mzansi Love season one as Nosisiwe and Studio 53 seasons one to five as herself. reports that the former Generations actress Rosie Motene is also an author, who wrote a memoir titled Reclaiming the Soil, which helped her get back to her roots.

Motene was reportedly adopted by her biological mother’s employer as her mother was a domestic worker, while her father, Pathe Motene was a petrol attendant. The Motenes, who are her biological family lived in Phokeng, Rustenburg in North West province.

The publication adds that the businesswoman is also an activist, who sits on the board of POWA (People Opposing Women Abuse) and was a victim of relationship abuse during her matric year.
