Thabiso Mokhethi: ‘I’m resigning from being a sangoma’

Former Rythm City and Generations actor Thabiso Mokhethi says he’s resigning from being a sangoma to preach the gospel.reports that the talented actor Thabiso Mokhethi says the Lord has asked him to resign from everything that is not part of his plan for his life.


 

“There’s a lot that has been happening in my life to build me, to distract me, to shape me, and to come to this decision. The Lord has asked me to publicly resign from everything he hasn’t called me into. The Lord has asked me to resign from everything that is not part of his plan for my life.”

Mokhethi adds that he is resigning from all things, from a lifestyle that many suffer from; partying and he is mostly resigning from being a sangoma.

“I am resigning from consulting the sangoma way. I am resigning from the bonds I entered into when I was seeking healing. I will no longer serve as a sangoma.”

The Black Tax actor also reveals that he will only serve as a teacher of the word, as one who chooses this word that has chosen him and there’s nothing for him out there.

“Only God. My spirit says I was lost but now I am found.”recently reported that the actor Thabiso Mokhethi has also opened up about his life as a drug addict and how he got saved.

“I was once a drug addict and grace set me free from that. I was once lost in my own stresses until I was depressed, but the Lord set me from that.”

Mokhethi adds that he was a person who didn’t live a life of truth and honesty and I was transformed into a nobleman and it is by the grace of God that he is here to share his story.

The star also says he knows what it’s like to try to use substances to try and heal but those things tend to imprison us. The star has also gone back to church and trusts that God and only God was enough for him.

The former 7de Laan actor Thabiso Mokhethi also revealed to Sowetan in 2018 that he lost his mother and younger brother in a car accident in 2013.

“My brother was driving when they were hit by another car and they died on the spot,” he told the publication.

DJ Zinhle’s reality show: AKA’s death to feature on season three?

South African DJ Ntombezinhle Jiyane, popularly known as DJ Zinhle, announced that her reality show is returning for a third season via an Instagram post on Friday 8 September.


 

 
DJ ZINHLE ANNOUNCES THIRD SEASON OF REALITY SHOW
Season three of DJ Zinhle: The Unexpected will return to BET Africa, DSTV channel 129 on 30 September. As seen in a teaser for the series, this season seems to be covering more of DJ Zinhle’s relationship with “husband” Murdah Bongz.

“I’m that annoying wife that always wants to talk about my husband,” she said.

She also seems to be tackling some of the challenges of being a working mom. As Kairo Forbes is seen complaining about her mom not being around that night.

“I know I’m only going to see you the next morning,” says a sad Kairo.

AKA’S DEATH TO FEATURE ON DJ ZINHLE’S REALITY SHOW?
Lynn “Glammy” Forbes, mom of slain rapper AKA, who is the father of DJ Zinhle’s first born Kairo Forbes also features in this season. Glammy is seen pushing Asante on a swing. Asante is the daughter of DJ Zinhle and Murdah Bongz.

Lynn also talks about visiting a grave, which is most likely to be AKA’s.

“I went to the grave to just sit there for a while,” said Lynn.

So, it seems the reality show was shot around the time that the rapper – Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, was shot dead outside of Wish Restaurant on Florida Road, Durban on 10 February.

According to Wedding ETC Rachel Kolisi met Siya at a dinner party in Stellenbosch, Western Cape back in 2012. Rachel previously shared a snap of herself on the day of Siya’s Umgidi, where she was dressed in traditional attire. Umgidi is a Xhosa cultural event which is considered as a joyous family celebration, welcoming a boy returning as a man from the sacred custom of initiation. It is unclear when this took place.Rachel also called Siya’s two younger siblings Liyema and Liphelo “two more miracles”. Siya and his siblings share a mother who unfortunately passed away in 2009 which left Liyema and Liphelo bouncing from orphanages to foster homes for years before Siya and Rachel were financially stable enough to adopt them in 2014, according to IOL.

Destined for showbiz? Old AKA tweet about Kairo revisited

Following Kairo’s performance at Joburg Day, many music fans were concerned that her family was “exploiting ” the little girl.

But AKA’s mother, Lynn Forbes, shut down all speculation by revealing that Kairo insisted on her performance.

An old tweet by the late rapper – who was gunned down in Durban in February – has also added weight to Lynn’s comments.

In the tweet- posted in February 2019, four years before his murder – AKA claimed that his daughter was destined for showbiz. At the time, Kairo was just three years old.

The tweet read: “Myself and my father [Tony Forbes] both want Kairo to play tennis, be the next Serena Williams or whatever … But unfortunately, her mom plays her too much house music … and her Dad is DI MOLTI TALENTED… so you know where she’s gonna end up.”

The only child of Zinhle and AKA has over 1 million Instagram followers and has reportedly generated millions in revenue through paid partnerships and endorsement deals.

According to E News Mzansi, Kairo has made a killing by monetising her Instagram following, which sits at over 1,3 million followers.

Shaka Ilembe’ actors discuss losing their loved ones

Actors Thembinkosi Mthembu and Wiseman Mncube, who plays rivals Zwide and Dingiswayo on Shaka Ilembe reveal how they are still grieving their loved ones.Actor Thembinkosi Mthembu, who is popularly known for his roles in The River, The Republic revealed in an interview with Podcast and Chill with MacG that he’s still struggling to come to terms with losing his sister.

“To be honest, I haven’t healed from my sister’s passing. I tried, but I haven’t forgiven the perpetrator. It is something that I am constantly evading.”


 

The KwaZulu-Natal-born actor adds that his sister, who worked in the police force was shot by her ex-boyfriend at her office: “Her co-workers allowed him in because they were dating from college. He shot my sister and then killed himself.”

Mthembu, who recently secured a role in Showmax’s Western Series Outlaws portrays the role of King Dingiswayo, the son of King Jobe of the Mthethwa in the Mzansi Magic’s hit series.

‘SHAKA ILEMBE’ STAR WISEMAN MNCUBE IS STILL GRIEVING HIS WIFE
Uzalo actor Wiseman Mncube, who portrays the character of King Zwide, son of Queen Ntombazi (Khabonina Qubeka) and King Langa in Mzansi Magic drama series opens up about losing his wife.

Mncube also tells podcasters MacG and Sol Phenduka that he still struggles to come to terms with losing his wife each day and avoids talking about it as a coping mechanism.

The talented actors adds that he also avoids the topic as he doesn’t want to trigger old wounds: “When I heard the news, I was on set filming a scene.”

Mthembu and Mncube also discuss their rival roles King Zwide and Dingiswayo in the Mzansi Magic drama series.

MultiChoice CEO General Entertainment Nomsa Philiso confirmed this week Monday, 4 September that the series has been commissioned for a second season.

Philiso reveals that MultiChoice is committed to telling the story, and this season 2 announcement confirms their intentions to honour the iconic figure of King Shaka with a continuation of his story on air.
