Will Springboks wear green, gold against France in quarter-finals?

The Springboks are set to take on Rugby World Cup hosts France in the quarter-finals next weekend. But will they wear their “lucky” green and gold kit for the clash?

The Boks – who have been forced to wear alternate kits during the competition – will be defending their 2019 World Cup title.

GREEN AND GOLD FOR QUARTER-FINALS?
In their four pool games, the Springboks wore their home kit twice. According to SA Rugby, this was due to a strict colour blindness policy, which came into effect in the Rugby World Cup.

It said in a statement: “The Springboks are not permitted to wear the green and gold jersey in every Test match – as much as we would like to.”

This, despite the fact that the “primary jersey of green and gold is always worn as the first choice whenever permitted”.It’s unclear if the SA team will wear their home kit in the quarter-finals clash as yet. An announcement will likely be made closer to the game.

FANS CRY FOUL OVER SCOTLAND VS IRELAND GAME
On Saturday, 7 October, Ireland and Scotland faced off in their final Pool B clash. The Irish rugby team wore their traditional green kit, while the Scots wore a dark blue.

But it was a different scenario for SA last month, who were forced to ditch their green jersey for an away kit against the Scots. According to World Rugby, this was over a “kit clash.@ruby_clipper: “Please tell us why Ireland were allowed to wear their green jerseys to play Scotland last night, but the Springboks had to wear their alternate kit to play Scotland? Is the Irish kit some sort of special green that colourblind folks can now suddenly see?”

@Tizo_Bati: “So suddenly colorblind people could see the Green of Ireland and Navy Blue of Scotland, yet other countries are forced to wear white kits.”

@rcjay: “Why are Ireland and Scotland playing in their home colours, but the Boks had to wear their away kit?”

‘Cruising nicely’: Orlando Pirates fan credits Gogo Maweni after win

South African sangoma Gogo Maweni loves shocking her followers and is seemingly always doing something that raises their eyebrows. This comes as no surprise since she was once accused of bewitching the father of her child, troubled actor SK Khoza.

While she denied doing anything of the sort, she certainly didn’t convince anyone after sharing a clip of herself caressing a rather large snake.

Take a look at some of their comments:

“Kaizer Chiefs must just swallow their pride and consult Gogo..”one person said while another added:

“She’s the reason Shalulile missed that clear header”.

Sunday World reported that Zoleka’s aunt, Zenani, obtained a court order instructing the family to bury the deceased at a grave plot purchased by her ex-husband, Thierry Bashala.

Bhasha, who shares two children with Zoleka, was one of the people Zoleka had not wanted to attend her funeral. Zenani also made it on the list. Family member, Ndileka Mandela confirmed the authenticity of the list to The Citizen.Speaking to The Sunday Times, Bhashala denied he had purchased the cemetery plot where Zoleka was buried.

“It’s far from the truth. I was far from the drama in terms of bringing a court interdict and in terms of siding with the auntie.

“Yes, I was at the funeral, but I was there talking to the auntie and telling her that she should not do that and allow Zoleka to be buried [next to] her family. [This] completely failed, and then Fourways Memorial had allocated another burial site for the family because it was just … we were not getting through to her,” he said.

“I was there in the morning trying to talk to the aunt … I was there for two hours [trying] to talk sense to the aunt and say it’s not on
