Kelly Khumalo responds to Malema’s criticism – with a compliment!

EFF leader Julius Malema has won the praise of many of his critics after his party recently celebrated its 10th anniversary at the FNB Stadium. But no one was expecting singer Kelly Khumalo to compliment the CIC, particularly after his comments about Senzo Meyiwa.

The party president has accused the hitmaker of being allegedly involved in the murder of the late soccer player.

Senzo was shot and killed on 26 October 2013 at the Vosloorus home of Kelly’s mother. Five men are currently on trial for his murder. It came as no surprise that the Twitter users reminded the singer how Malema himself had publicly blamed her for the death of Senzo Meyiwa.

But Kelly clapped back at the criticism with another surprising comment.

She posted: “I truly don’t care what your thoughts of me are. The fact remains that it takes courage and strength to build what Malema did. And that deserves applause, even from me”.WHAT MALEMA SAID
In a video clip that went viral, Julius Malema shared his thoughts about what he thinks he thought about Senzo Meyiwa’s death.

He said: “We hold a very strong view that Senzo was killed. And those people in the house knew who killed him.

‘Close to calling Mbappe’: SA trolls France after Springboks win

In a nerve-racking, gutsy match in Saint-Denis on Sunday, 15 October, South Africa booted France – the hosts of the 2023 World Cup – out of the tournament by defeating them 29-28 to secure a place in the semifinal against England next weekend.

Six tries were scored in the first half of a knockout match for the first time in World Cup history as Cyril Baille, Peato Mauvaka, Kurt-Lee Arendse, Cheslin Kolbe and Damien de Allende went over inside the opening 30 minutes. The thrilling first half ended in a penalty kick by Ramos to give France a 22-19 lead going into the half-time break.KOLBE VS MBAPPE
While there were other crucial moments that helped the Springboks clinch a win, especially against a roaring French crowd, Boks wing Cheslin Kolbe’s determination and pace left Mzansi in awe as fans pitting him against French footballer Kylian Mbappe.

Like the Springboks’ fleet-footed 29-year-old, Mbappe (24) – who plays for Paris Saint Germain (PSG) – has blistering speed. And according to 947 presenter, Mo Flava, the desperate French side was hoping for a miracle even if it came in the form of Mbappe whose speed was needed in the dying minutes of the match.

“France were close to calling Mbappé to come get them over the line,” he joked.

“Kolbe is a better winger than Mbappe,” @nhloni_mk1 wrote. The Kolbe vs Mbappe comparisons were also fuelled by last year’s football encounter between SA and France which saw Les Bleus – who were World Cup champions at the time – trounce Bafana Bafana 5-0 in the one-sided affair at the Stade Pierre Mauroy in Lille.

The international friendly encounter gave birth to a social media meme where Chippa United player Nyiko Mobbie tried and failed to keep up with Mbappe.

Read the Love Letter Suzanne Somers’ Husband Alan Hamel Wrote to Her the Day Before Her Death

Alan Hamel wrote a beautiful poem to his wife of 46 years, Suzanne Somers that she read the night before she “died peacefully in her sleep” on Sunday morning.

Somers’ longtime publicist R. Couri Hay tells PEOPLE that Hamel, 87 — whom Somers had been married to since 1977 after dating for 10 years — “gave it to her a day early and she read the poem and went to bed and later died peacefully in her sleep.”

Written in all caps, the poem reads: “LOVE I USE IT EVERY DAY, SOMETIMES SEVERAL TIMES A DAY. I USE IT AT THE END OF EMAILS TO MY LOVING FAMILY. I EVEN USE IT IN EMAILS TO CLOSE FRIENDS. I USE IT WHEN I’M LEAVING THE HOUSE.”

Continuing: “THERE’S LOVE, THEN LOVE YOU AND I LOVE YOU!! THEREIN LIES SOME OF THE DIFFERENT WAYS WE USE LOVE. SOMETIMES I FEEL OBLIGED TO USE LOVE, RESPONDING TO SOMEONE WHO SIGNED LOVE IN THEIR EMAIL, WHEN I’M UNCOMFORTABLE USING LOVE BUT I USE IT ANYWAY.”

“I ALSO USE LOVE TO DESCRIBE A GREAT MEAL. I USE IT TO EXPRESS HOW I FEEL ABOUT A SHOW ON NETFLIX. I OFTEN USE LOVE REFERRING TO MY HOME, MY CAT GLORIA, TO THINGS GLORIA DOES, TO THE TASTE OF A CANTALOUPE I GREW IN MY GARDEN. I LOVE THE TASTE OF A FRESHLY HARVESTED ORGANIC ROYAL JUMBO MEDJOOL DATE. I LOVE BITING A FIG OFF THE TREE. I LOVE WATCHING TWO GIANT BLACKBIRDS WHO LIVE NEARBY SWOOPING BY MY WINDOW IN A POWER DIVE. MY DAILY LIFE ENCOMPASSES THINGS AND PEOPLE I LOVE AND THINGS AND PEOPLE I AM INDIFFERENT TO.”

Hamel wrote: “I COULD GO ON AD INFINITUM, BUT YOU GET IT. WHAT BRAND OF LOVE DO I FEEL FOR MY WIFE SUZANNE? CAN I FIND IT IN ANY OF THE ABOVE? A RESOUNDING NO!!!! THERE IS NO VERSION OF THE WORD THAT IS APPLICABLE TO SUZANNE AND I EVEN USE THE WORD APPLICABLE ADVISEDLY.”

“THE CLOSEST VERSION IN WORDS ISN’T EVEN CLOSE. IT’S NOT EVEN A FRACTION OF A FRACTION OF A FRACTION. UNCONDITIONAL LOVE DOES NOT DO IT. I’LL TAKE A BULLET FOR YOU DOESN’T DO IT. I WEEP WHEN I THINK ABOUT MY FEELINGS FOR YOU. FEELINGS… THAT’S GETTING CLOSE, BUT NOT ALL THE WAY.”

“55 YEARS TOGETHER, 46 MARRIED AND NOT EVEN ONE HOUR APART FOR 42 OF THOSE YEARS,” he shared. “EVEN THAT DOESN’T DO IT. EVEN GOING TO BED AT 6 O’CLOCK AND HOLDING HANDS WHILE WE SLEEP DOESN’T DO IT. STARING AT YOUR BEAUTIFUL FACE WHILE YOU SLEEP DOESN’T DO IT.”

He concluded: “I’M BACK TO FEELINGS. THERE ARE NO WORDS. THERE ARE NO ACTIONS. NO PROMISES. NO DECLARATIONS. EVEN THE GREEN SHADED SCHOLARS OF THE OXFORD UNIVERSITY PRESS HAVE SPENT 150 YEARS AND STILL HAVE FAILED TO COME UP WITH THAT ONE WORD. SO I WILL CALL IT, ‘US’, UNIQUELY, MAGICALLY, INDESCRIBABLY WONDERFUL ‘US.’”“Suzanne Somers passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of October 15th. She survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years,” Hay wrote in a statement to PEOPLE shared on behalf of the actress’ family.

“Suzanne was surrounded by her loving husband Alan, her son Bruce, and her immediate family,” the statement continued. “Her family was gathered to celebrate her 77th birthday on October 16th. Instead, they will celebrate her extraordinary life, and want to thank her millions of fans and followers who loved her dearly.”

Somers was best known for her roles on Three’s Company and Step by Step.

According to Hay, a private family burial will take place this week, and a memorial will be held in November.
