This week has been a week of sadness after it was revealed this Saturday afternoon that a well-known South African actor had passed away due to committing suicide. Many people are still shocked by how he died and it was unexpected. His family and friends have been left saddened, and the memories of how he died will leave a lot of questions as to why he chose to die like that.

 

 

 

 

It has been shared that another well-known celebrity has lost a loved one, and condolences poured in for her. The well-known American celebrity actress, Regina King, has lost her only son, who was only 26 years old. King’s only child, Ian Alexander Jr., was born to her and her ex-husband, record producer Ian Alexander Sr. Regina and her son were best friends, and he used to accompany her to all the red carpet events.

It is sad when a parent loses their child, and it must be sadder to lose them to suicide knowing that if they had shared their mental state, they could have received proper health. Mental health issues are real, but it is still something I struggle to open up about because of how society treats people who suffer from mental health issues. If you or someone you know suffers from mental health issues, do not judge. Allow them to open up and assure them you are there for them no matter what.

As tributes continue to pour in for the late Patrick Shai who passed away by suicide this morning at his Dobsonville home, many people continue to wonder what could have happened to drive the veteran actor to a point where he saw no way out.
