The Miss SA pageant is a national beauty pageant that selects representatives to compete in international beauty pageants.


 

This year the finalists’ journey was a little journey. The Top 12 finalists competed for seven spots on a reality show titled Crown Chasers. So, five of the Top 12 were eliminated from the pageant.

The top seven finalists who are competing to be the next Miss SA title are:

The finale is set to be hosted by media personality Bonang Matheba. One of the judges will be actress Thuso Mbedu.

Where is the former ‘Jam Alley’ presenter Twasa Seipati now?

Twasa Seipati is one of South Africa’s seasoned presenters – she’s best known for hosting the local reality competition series Jam Alley way back in the early 2000s. Where I she now?

A RUN DOWN MEMORY LANE WITH TWASA SEIPATI ON ‘JAM ALLEY’
Jam Alley was one of SABC 1’s most-watched show back in the late 90s to 2000s. The show featured new contestants in each episode who competed to bag themselves cool prizes including stereos, TV sets, money, and more.


 

 

The original hosts of the show were Vinolia Mashego and Nimrod Nkosi, IMDb reported. Twasa Seipati took over the show in 2003 untill 2011, TVSA reported.Since leaving the show, she appeared as a guest judge on SABC 2’s I Want To Sing Gospel reality competition; featured on season four of SABC 1’s music talk show Zaziwa in 2016, and in 2021, she was one of the hosts of the 25th South African Music Awards (SAMAS).

WHERE IS THE SEASONED PRESNTER NOW?
Throughout the majority of her career, Twasa Seipati has also been working behind the cameras. She is a radio host on Lesedi FM’s Thalgoa breakfast show which airs on weekdays from 06:00 to 09:00. And, she’s said to have joined the station back in 2000.

In April, she graduated with an MBA. The following month, she celebrated another achievement and took to her social media to show off her new red Ford Ranger.

On her spare time, she enjoys working out, spending time with her loved ones, and is also a poultry farmer. In one of her posts, she shared some of the challenges that come with the job.

“The maintenance of this business is no child’s play. Especially when you buy them as chicks and grow them yourself. You spend on food, and they require special bulbs that produce heat for them during winter,” she shared.

South African social media users have gotten their knickers all in a twist after seeing a photo of Kaizer Chiefs Marketing Director Jessica Motaung and local rugby hero Siya Kolisi. In the snap, Jessica and Siya are both full of smiles with Jessica’s hand resting on the sportsman’s chest.

This evidently doesn’t sit well with locals who believe that she is “way too comfortable” around Siya who is married to a very territorial Rachel Kolisi.


 

 

South African television personality, sports executive and former beauty pageant winner Jessica Motaung has gotten on the wrong side of Siya and Rachel Kolisi fans.

This after a snap of her posing with the Springboks rugby captain was shared on Twitter.

In the photo, the pair smile happily for the camera while wearing Springbok regalia. While some believed that the photo was bad luck others called it inappropriate.

According to those in the comment section, the photo was a little too inappropriate for their liking. Many questioned the fact that her hand was rested on his chest.

Others wondered how his wife Rachel would feel about it.

“They are a little too comfortable with each other,” one person commented. Another added:

“Strange that someone’s wife would get some comfortable to a point where they would even lay their hands in the heart of someone’s husband. This is truly a doomed generation.”

“You don’t place your hand on someone’s husband’s chest” a third wrote.

Pearl Thusi dines with top Zimbabwean government officials

South African actress Pearl Thusi had an expensive dinner with top Zimbabwean government officials.

Pearl Thusi took a flight to Zimbabwe, where she was heading for Victoria Falls to have some fresh air.

It seemed. However, the Victoria Falls trip was not the only reason Pearl journeyed to Zimbabwe.


 

 

She also had time in Harare and had an expensive dinner with top Zimbabwean government officials.

Controversial self-proclaimed prophet Passion Java was also part of the people at the dinner and was the one who shared the pictures.

He spoke at large of how much the dinner was amazing.

The government officials, journalists and celebs had all gathered for the True Zimbabwe Journalists Tour.Present was also fellow South African actor Sello Maake KaNcube who enjoyed the night.

Their tables were filled with expensive food and drinks, and it was a great night in Harare.

‘Spitting image’: Mzansi convinced Mandoza and son look identical

On Wednesday, 9 August, a video doing the rounds on Twitter showing Tokollo Tshabalala, the son of the late South African Kwaito legend Mandoza—real name Mduduzi Edmund Tshabalala who tragically died in 2016 had netizens commenting about their resemblance.

 

 
RIP: HOW DID MANDOZA DIE?
Mandoza became an international sensation with popular hit songs such as 50/50, Nkalakatha, Respect Life, Uzoyithola Kanjani, Sgeleke, and more. He died in Johannesburg on 16 September 2016 after a year-long cancer battle.

A video showing Mandoza’s son Tokollo at what appears to be a BET event left Twitter buzzing recently. Netizens were convinced the young man looks identical to his late father.“He would v been the perfect fit for the role,” @GiftMarake1 wrote.

“Mnjee why they took uWiseman to play uMandoza whilst there’s his look-alike,’ @ShoziSpheh said.

“Named after Magesh, looks like his dad…Kwaito DNA 101,” @Shelomohkeita replied.
