Dudu Ngwenya, also known by her stage name Lady Du has done it for the ladies; the Umsebenzi Wethu performer wowed social media when she took part in the male-dominated Umlando challenge. She nailed it, and everything looked on point, from her outfit to her dance moves and the locations she was dancing in.

 

 

On her version of the challenge, the video first shows a back view of her dancing facing the other way on the balcony, and the video then shows her dancing with her leg up against an indoor wall. She’s then dancing on an outdoor table under a green tent and goes dancing on the balcony again. She also danced in the shower, hanging on the patio and in the middle of an apartment building’s corridor. She didn’t end there. She also danced on top of the fence, then topped it off with her dancing on a moving Mercedes V-Class.

Lady Du’s state of mind

In the video, she looked like she was having the time of her life. It wasn’t expected for someone who’s just been involved in a public break-up. Lady Du broke off her engagement with the former Isibaya actor Andile Maxakaza. In her announcement to her fans, she asked people not to ask her many questions about it, and she would like her peace. Rumors circulated that the Woza hit singer left her actor fiance over his financial constraints. Andile Maxakaza told fans his engagement with Dudu ended due to witchcraft.

After the break-up, she’s expressed how she feels a weight has been lifted off her shoulders. It’s not just her Umlando dance challenge that’s proved to fans that she’s okay but her posts in general. Many people in the spotlight move away from social media after bad things happen. Take AKA, for instance. When his wife passed on, he temporarily left the socials. When Andile dumped Sithelo, she also went awol on socials. Lady Du carried on and is living her best life.
