The combined force of the ensemble cast, witty scripts, glorious Johannesburg vistas, and gripping storylines make for a compelling Festive Season watch.

Speaking about what viewers can look forward to from the series Thando Thabethe who plays a lead role said, “The script is authentic I think you will watch the series and identify yourself or one of your family members with one of the characters and I think it also fits the incredible spirit of Christmas that we as South Africans have. You will be able to identify that sense of family.”

“This is Netflix and we are talking about 190 countries watching and initially, that was the first thing that came to my mind to say I’m going to say yes. Also going deeper Burnt Onion released a beautiful script even when you go into production you can read and be like it is relatable. It really unpacks a lot of familiar stereotypes everybody sees especially South Africans, they going to identify them and say they relate to this show.”
