The collection is rooted in founder Jimi Herrtage’s travels through South Africa, where he was inspired by what he saw as the country’s underexposed creative talent. basically love every single image as it exudes style, beauty, positive energy, confidence, coolness, elegance and hipness. All that without frills and props. My favorites are the short Kimono tops and the dress with the cut-out at the back.
Sometimes the most beautiful designs & photos are so captivating – because they are simple. That’s what I like so much about the France/Benin-based brand Nash Prints It. The studio photography of their new collection focuses on showcasing West African prints
here. The designs and cuts are all very wearable and flattering – no doubt. The combinations however, are sometimes a bit out there. Personally, I would leave all the zebra and leopard prints out of the mix. And I can’t quite figure out what the rocking sheep is doing in all of the pictures? Maybe a hint that this is the Fall collection? Any thoughts?
What makes the “Dirndl à l’Africaine” so special and unique for me is that it combines both of my heritages in an excellent and stylish way. The secret about a Dirndl: it looks awesome on any body type. It accentuates the waist and highlights the chest.
