MY BROTHERS KEEPER RENEWED FOR SEASON 2
In season 2, Donga, the son who hasn’t played an active role in the family business, ShabaSnacks, locks horns with his father, as he is drawn and forced to intervene and try to save the family business before it falls. That in turn makes Donga a formidable threat to the power balance in the family, as it seems he is the only one who has the power and currency to do so.

On the other hand, Mshengu is exposed by Nqubeko as the one who pulled the plug on Khwezi’s life support at the start of the series. All this because he found out Mshengu was behind the collapse of his venture to start his own business away from his father’s grip.

And of course, Fakazile, ‘the angry makoti’, will be turning the tables on the family, challenging some of the preserved cultural practices that will send Mshengu into a tailspin. Not only her, but the other makotis are also up to something and individually taking a stand to assert a certain level of independence within the family. But how do they do it, and is it in the best interest of the Shabalalas or is it self-serving?

Smoke and Mirrors’ viewers criticise new Caeser
@Reel_TalkZA says: “I am just going to say it, there is no chemistry between Hlomla Dandala and Ayanda Bandla. This is a disaster; Lala must come fetch her man and they must do #TheRiver again. Bring Zolisa back, I hate it here.”

@officiallebza: “Hlomla as Caesar is falling so flat. Mbulelo Grootboom might have even been better.”

@Mbalizah7: “I totally agree, it’s very awkward between Hlomla and Ayanda. Hoping basazojwayelana and form some kind of chemistry, it will never be what she had with Zolisa but ke.”

@McShandoo: “I’m not happy with our new Ceaser it’s so cringe watching Hlomla as Ceaser. His acting is so off for this role. I think he is better acting a lover not a fighter it just doesn’t work for me, every time he appears I wanna fast forward.”
