Dawn Thandeka King is best known for her former role as “MaNgcobo” on the most watched and award winning South African soapera Uzalo. King portrayed the role of “MaNgcobo” for almost 7 years.THANDEKA EARLY LIFE

THANDEKA CAREER
Before King’s breakthrough in the acting industry, she was working a 9-5 job in the tourism industry around Durban.She eventually quit her job in the tourism industry to pursue her acting career and her debut in the acting industry came in 2012 where she got a role in Mzansi Magic’s telenovela Inkaba.A few years later she portrayed the role of Lindiwe Xulu (Mangcobo) on a telenovela broadcast on SABC1 called Uzalo which is the most viewed television show in South Africa from 2015-2021.Her character was well received by the audience with King receiving praise for her acting skills.She starred in the telenovela Lockdown on Mzansi Magic where she was known as Mazet.She is also seen in Mzansi Bioskop short Zulu drama’s persuading her dream career.

Legendary actress Dieketseng Mnisi, famous for her role as Nontombi Mantuli Seakamela in the South African educational soap opera Skeem Saam, recently got married in a traditional ceremony, and her lobola negotiations took place.

Innocent Chipa Sadiki, who portrays the character of Sthoko, took to her Instagram account to reveal that Dieketseng Mnisi (Mantuli) got married in a beautiful traditional ceremony, and some of the Skeem Saam actors attended the wedding, including Amanda Manku (Lizzy) and Lerato Marabe (Pretty).

The beautiful pictures shared on Instagram showing happy faces and the bride, Dieketseng Mnisi, wearing beautiful attire left people amazed and sending congratulations messages. Mantuli’s on-screen family, Lizzy, Sthoko, and Pretty, and Innocent Sadiki’s twin sister were also part of the wedding, wearing beautiful attire.
 

 

In a recent interview, Lebohang Mthunzi, wife of actor JT Medupe, bravely opened up about her internal struggles regarding her husband’s portrayal of Leeroy, character on the hit television series “Smoke and Mirrors”. Her candid discussion shed light on the complex emotions and challenges that arise when an actor’s professional roles intersect with their personal lives.Mthunzi’s honesty revealed her discomfort with witnessing her husband embodying a character whose orientation differs from his own. She confessed that although she comprehends the professional necessity of such roles, it remains emotionally taxing for her to witness Medupe fully immerse himself in the portrayal of

“As his wife, it’s difficult for me to watch him Mthunzi candidly expressed. “I understand that it’s part of his job as an actor, but it’s still uncomfortable for me to see him in that role.”Furthermore, Mthunzi articulated her concerns regarding the potential repercussions of Medupe’s character on both their personal and professional lives. She pondered whether it might be feasible for Medupe to explore alternative roles or even contemplate departing from the show to alleviate her discomfort and safeguard their relationship.
“I wonder if there’s a possibility for JT to explore different roles or perhaps exit the show,” Mthunzi shared. “It’s important for us to consider the impact of his portrayal on our family and our future.”
